There’s No Elevator to Success. You Have to Take the Stairs

INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to my motivational moment entitled, “There Is No Elevator to Success. You Have to Take the Stairs.” I’m Cynthia O.

MOTIVATION:

I’m often amazed by how quickly we grown impatient when pursuing our goals. God piques our interest by dropping a nugget of inspiration into our spirit about what we can accomplish if we take a certain path. He tells us to turn our passion into a business. Or, He may tell us to help others in need. Or, He may tell us to learn the labor market’s most in-demand skill. Or better yet, He may tell us to exercise 10 – 15 minutes each day to improve our health.

We start out fully committed, or so we say. But, when we don’t see quantitative results within a short time frame, we sometimes stop trying. We stop seeking. We stop pursuing. We just stop. But, what we fail to realize is that success is not a destination…it’s a journey. And you take a journey one step at a time. Then, every product or service we create increases our chances of being discovered. Discovered by those who need us most, one person at a time, until we have a tribe of raving fans. Discovered by that employer who needs our new skill and we end up landing the job. Discovering our new self and becoming our own hero by achieving that our health goal. As we are discovered, our influence grows, and our audience elevates us to new heights because we have positively impacted them, even if we are our own audience.

So, if we’re truly committed to our purpose and our calling, let’s continue to put one foot in front of the other. All the while, we’re rising higher…sort of like riding an elevator. Staying the course produces amazing results, you see. More people learn about us and take advantage of the value that we have to offer. We are recognized for our expertise and are recommended to others, by others. We inspire those around us to challenge themselves to be great. So, the journey is worth it. So, don’t only enjoy the view when you get to your top floor of influence, enjoy the journey on the way up. Because, you may have to take the stairs to success, but you may achieve a higher altitude.

CONCLUSION:

Thank you for joining me today. Be sure to share this motivational moment with others who could use it, because we all need a little motivation sometimes. I’m Cynthia O. Go out and be awesome!
