Welcome to this motivational moment, entitled “Golden Opportunities Allowing Large Successes,” with Cynthia O.

MOTIVATION:

I recently learned of a vacant position that was the perfect next career step for me. Have you ever been there? You just knew, when you saw the posting, that it had been written just for you. Well, a week ago, I felt just that way. But, for some reason, I had a hard time settling down to apply. I then thought about it and remembered that I had not yet prayed about it. One week later, I finally settled down to tweak my cover letter, when God told me to not apply. He didn’t give me a reason, but His guidance was crystal clear.

Now, don’t get me wrong, God doesn’t always speak that clearly to me…and definitely not that quickly. This time, though, He did. And, although this job seems like a golden opportunity for career growth and the possibility of a SUBSTANTIAL salary increase, I will not apply to it. That’s right. I will NOT apply. So, although it doesn’t make natural sense, I know that God is not bound by worldly interpretations of logic.

I will lean on His promise that His plan for my life is so much bigger than my own plan for my life. He has already left my husband and I marveling at the home that he blessed our family with at the beginning of the new year. He did this in spite of the difficult real estate market that clearly favored sellers. He did it in spite of the well-meaning discouraging comments from others.  And, He did it in spite of all the negative reports about the inflated prices that people were paying for their new homes. So, I know that He is leading this journey, and I am going along for the ride. Why? Because I believe that my obedience will result in something astronomical.

Are you struggling with a decision that could greatly impact your life? I invite you to join me in trusting God’s plan even when it doesn’t make to your eyes and in your mind. Remember, 2 Corinthians 5:7 tells us that we should walk by faith and not by sight. Be open to God-Inspired, illogical golden opportunities that will result in even larger successes than what we can see ever could. Let Him blow your mind because He can do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond what we could ever think or imagine. He hasn’t failed me yet. He won’t fail you either.
