Welcome to this motivational moment entitled, “Paint Your Life,” with Cynthia O.
MOTIVATION:
I’m sure most of us remember being told by our teacher to write in active, not passive voice. Passive voice just kinda’ goes with the flow. It doesn’t do a good job of painting the vision of the story that you’re telling. But, writing in active voice commands our reader’s attention because it empowers us to communicate confidently, with more authority and credibility. We should live our lives actively, too. I’m not speaking of only physical activity. I mean being strong mentally, psychologically, emotionally…the whole nine yards. I am human, too. So, I know that it’s difficult when our plans don’t work out as we hoped. But, we must do more than passively let life come to us. Today, my husband and I received some discouraging news today about one of the desires of our hearts. Yes, we’ve grieved, cried, and prayed. Now, we’re ready to continue to paint the story of our lives because we know that better is coming. So, God willing, we will wake up tomorrow renewed and feeling like we can conquer the world. Don’t forget, in the face of disappointment, that life is still precious and worth enjoying. 2 Corinthians 6: 11-12 tells us that God desires for us to live a wide-open spacious life. So, we can’t revert to a limited mindset and a grey outlook when we face challenges. That’s not living a colorful, joyful, high-spirited life. We must hang on to the hope that when God allows one door to close, He opens another. So, join the “Paint Your Life” journey. Paint your life with happiness. Paint your life with fulfillment. Paint your life with hope for something better. Paint your life with goal-oriented people. Paint your life adventurous. Finally, paint your life with gratitude because we all have something to be thankful for.
